Job Details

Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) invites applications for the posts of Management Trainees (Technical) (450 seats) and Management Trainees (Administration) (75 seats) in E-1 grade from young, energetic, result oriented and promising talent in the country.

Eligibility :
Upper Age : 30 years as on 1.9.2010, i.e., not born earlier than 1.9.1980

The upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST and by 3 years for OBC candidates and by 10 years for Physically Handicapped candidates). Selection :-
Eligible candidates will be required to appear for a Written Examination, information for which will be provided in the Admit card. Candidates shortlisted on the basis of their performance in the Written Test will be intimated to appear for Group Discussion/ Interview.

Written Test :-
Eligible candidates will be required to appear for objective type written test in at any one of the centres at Agartala, Allahabad, Bangalore, Baroda, Bhilai, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Bokaro, Chandigarh, Chennai, Dehradun, Delhi, Durgapur, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Jammu, Kochi, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, Patna, Ranchi, Rourkela, Salem, Trichy, Vijaywada and Visakhapatnam.

In the written test, there will be negative marking for wrong answers, i.e. 1/4th of the allotted marks for the question will be deducted for every wrong answer.

ii) For MT(Administration) - In the Afternoon session

Group Discussion/ Interview :-
Candidates shortlisted on the basis of their performance in the written test will be intimated to appear for Group Discussion/Interview, which may be held at short notice.

Training & Probation :-
Candidates selected as Management Trainees will be placed on training for one year. The Management Trainees (Technical) will be registered as Apprentices under the provisions of Apprentices Act, 1961. After successful completion of training, the candidates shall be placed under probation for one year.

Emoluments :
The Management Trainees will be offered Basic Pay of Rs.20,600/- p.m. in the pay scale of Rs.20600-3%-46500 (E-1). On successful completion of training the Management Trainees will be designated as Junior Managers in the same scale of pay.

Any Engineering with Diploma in Industrial Safety with min. 08 yrs. Maintenance Exp. In Oil Field / Oil & Gas / Refinery/ Petrochemical Plants. Directs the work of personnel in his charge and maintains list of safety equipments. Prepares accident, incident, near miss and investigation reports. Generate a safety management system, ensures personnel's adherence to safe working. Maintenance good housekeeping. Assists in obtaining work permits (hold, cold, confined space, excavation etc.,) Familiar with fire and other emergency situation and evacuation. 7. Sr. MECHANIC / CHARGE HAND MECHANIC / MECHANIC / MECHANIC – GRP. - (Salary KD 300 - 400)
Diploma / ITI in Mechanical with min. 06 to 08 yrs. Maintenance Exp. In Oil Field / Oil & Gas / Refinery/ Petrochemical Plants. Preventive maintenance planning and execution for Process plants and static equipments (vessels, coolers, heat exchangers etc.). Collecting and mapping mechanical equipment details, engineering drawings, catalogues, and preventive maintenance data from manuals to Maintenance. Coordinates with Stores, Maint. Supervisors, Workshop in terms of materials/spare supply and progress follow-up for survey related activities. Preparation of maintenance reports. Performs maintenance repair and overhaul of diesel machinery, calibration of injection pumps and turbines, compressors & engine governing system. 9. . MECHANICAL FITTER - (Salary KD 210 )
